How do I remove a popcorn butter grease stain?
At the movie theatre, I got grease stains on my purse/satchel, which is a heavy duty polyester type material, from the buttered popcorn. What can I do to remove these visible grease stains? The purse is just a few months old and I hate to have to throw it out. Thank you.

Your can buy a stain remove special for butter. They are in your supermarket they come in a pack of 3 different stain remover in one pack. This is just a picture of the one I have left.
Put dish soap on it dawn blue let sit mix with cold water and rub gently on spot use cold water hot will set the stain
I have used the Resolve stick on my shirt, let sit over night then gently wash off with a warm rag with Dawn dish soap, then rinse with a cold rag. Don't saturate.
Have you tried baking soda and vinagar? Pour the vinagar over the stain and a few mins the baking soda, and scrub it w/ a brush, itāll work pretty good
Your welcome
PURPLE POWER sold at Auto Zone auto parts stores is a totally environmentally safe petroleum and grease remover. And I swear by it. PURPLE is probably sold at other places but AZ is where I buy. If your purse/satchel is washable in a washer on "delicate" cycle do that. If you have to hand wash in a sink or tub that works too and you don't need rubber or vinyl gloves. As long as the greasy butter hasn't been there for years, this stuff will get it out WITHOUT FABRIC FADING which means everything to me since I use it on all our household laundry and other fabrics.

A little bit of blue Dawn with water and very gently rub the stained area. If it's a tough fabric you could use a little pressure and a toothbrush, but be careful not to damage the fibers.
