Yellow, blue, lilac, something that will be seen behind the white security door.
Black or red would be my best suggestion

Turquoise - Burn Orange or Fresh Green colour Strong Pink or Gray the same as Trim and add colour in Pots of flowers either side of door.........?
Run a search on Benjamin Moore's Hale Navy. It is such a gorgeous shade for both interior and exterior. Be sure to find some pictures of it applied to furniture and trim.
Turquoise door with Turquoise decor would make it pop!
I would paint same grey as your eavestroughs or black for a really dramatic look
I’d do the gray as well. I’d also paint the columns.
r I’d love gray shutters on your upstairs windows as well as the smaller window on the porch. Move your chairs to the right, to each side of the small window to bring “light” to that side of the porch. Maybe even a table painted white or gray with a pretty green plant on it. I think those efforts will bring the whole front together And make your first level as noticeable as the second.
Go to ww2.benjaminmoore.com, or look for “virtual paint your house”. You upload your photo and then have fun.
We also had this problem with a two story, so we left the shutters white (against the brick) and painted the top of the banisters the new Turquoise and the front door; it made the whole house pop. You need something that will make the house stand out, please no drab grays or black. I also have seen people paint the frames of the windows the same color. Just be bold; if you don't like, you can always repaint.
Defiantly Black,classic.
I would stay away from reds, yellows or oranges (clashes with the brick), black (to dark) and grey (to drab). Pick a bright color that you like. That will make the door stand out. I would get shutters for the door and windows and paint them the same color as the door. Move the chairs and table to between the windows. Get rid of the other stuff on the porch and get some raised planters or plant shelves and fill them with flowers. Plant some low growing evergreen shrubs. Plant some colorful flowers in the garden. Get a darker colored downspout that will blend a little better with the house. Then move the statue in front of the downspout to take the eye away from it even more.
I love all you guys, you have been so helpful. Thank You
I would paint the front door white and then the security door will visually disappear.
Turquoise or a bright green
I still like the dark gray of the trim for the columns. The red would make them a feature, I think.
Hmmm. Your house would really pop with some wood trim from the second floor over the porch. Go to the lumber store, not a big box store, and talk to them about what type of trim to add. I would also beef up those columns by boxing them in and add trim to the top of them. Some pretty hanging planters would be really nice as well. Good luck!
You can use Any colour you like. If you want to follow the trend, look around your street and choose the colour that's popular. The most popular colours we have are probably black and blue. They do look nice.
Barn red
