Baking soda! Fill with baking soda and let sit for a few days then vacuum out and sit in the sun. Or, machine wash with good deterrent and air dry in the sun. Most of the time stinky shoes just need a good washing and drying in the sun to remove odors, if that fails.....buy new shoes and enter the smelly shoes in the stinky tennis shoe contest.
Spray them with Frebreeze, and when you put them on each day, use a bit of the baby powder thats cornstarch (not talc). Then check feet don't have fungus..... wear white socks if you do and treat fungus with either an OTC like Tinactin or use tea tree oil.
baking soda sprinkled in and left to sit is what my mom always used.
When you take them off, stuff with newspaper and let dry well between wearings. I'd also put some baking soda in as well.
I soaked them in the washing machine with 1 cup vinegar to kill bacteria and now letting them dry. Will put foot powder in them when totally dry.
