How to join curtain panels together?

I put pastel semi-sheer 36x84 curtain panels on my lanai and tried to use Velcro to fasten them together, but they didn't hold and some even fell off. Any suggestions on how to fasten these panels together (nosy neighbors)?

If you have a sewing machine sew them together, I did it to my curtains it worked very well

    Yes, Machine or Hand sew.

If you have a sewing machine this would work best. If not put the two panels together just touching and then ladder stitch together with small stitches.

Nope, I don't sew. I thought about Stitch Witchery, but the curtains are already up on a rod and I have to climb a ladder to get them down. I have a broken sternum at this time. Probably not a good idea.

get 'industrial strength' velcro tabs --- and then use a couple of stitches to anchor them --- get the ones for 'outdoor' use -- this way you can still pull them back if you want

Great. I'd heard of industrial strength Velcro, but hadn't looked for it yet. Thank you! I don't pull the curtains back. They're "privacy" from an overly nosy neighbor.

Use fabric glue or sew them together.

A couple people told me about fabric glue. That may be the best way to go. Thanks!

You could sew on hooks and eyes or snaps...it would be a lot of hand sewing but would get the job done

Thanks. That would be a lot of work and not easily done unless I take the curtains down. Trying to avoid doing that.

Use Velcro again but use fabric glue.

A couple people have suggested this. I think this would be the best thing to do. Thanks!
