I spray Mr Clean on and let it soak. Use plastic scrub. Sometimes I have to VERY LIGHTLY use knife blade
Place a few layers of paper towels on the gunky spot. Dribble vinegar over paper towels until saturated. Wait about a half hour. Should wipe right up!
as a professional housekeeper I deal with this everyday and our go to solution is a paste of baking soda and dishsoap (actually we use liquid Castile soap). First remove any loose particles, then pour some soap on the spot and dump baking soda on top, mix together to form a paste and go clean the rest of the kitchen for a few minutes ( a good time to do the microwave). Come back with a scrubby sponge safe for nonstick pans, we use ones from Grove Collaborative made of walnuts and bambo, they’re awesome. If you have large chunks, use a plastic spatula to scrape them off. Scrubbing will take some time and several applications but it will NOT damage or scratch the surface. Once all the Burnt on stuff is gone, spray the surface with hydrogen peroxid. Yes really. Replace the lid on the brown bottle with a CLEAN sprayer lid and spray the whole glass top. Use a clean cotton towel (like an old T-shir, NOT terry cloth and not microfiber) to dry and buff to a clean shine. Use the same steps to clean the inside and outside of your oven door. Use the peroxide on all your glass surfaces, no streaks, no residue left behind and if you add a drop or two of dish soap it works on the really dirty funk on outside windows too. Add a drop of essential oil and it smells good
I've had burnt plastic from a bread bag on top of my toaster oven, I used my steamer to get it off. Try using a steamer, it won't damage your cook top.
