Is the deck cracked or falling apart
Hi Carolyn, as long as you can power wash it without it falling a part before you stain it then you're probably good to go!
wash it sand anything sticking up or rough then stain
We replace ( rotted split) boards as needed and restain as needed.
It's never to old to learn something new or to stain a deck:)-just prep it first with a good cleaning.
As long as it is structu rally sound by that I mean no holes cracking warping etc.it's worth the effort to redo the finish..now if you're afraid to go out on the deck in your Bare feet or you wouldn't want a little one down there to play may be time to replace. I wore out 2 Sanders one had my fingerprints embedded in the handle when it blew out! Good luck share a pic! Try to keep hydrated while you're working take care ❤ char
All great suggestions. When it starts to fall apart is when it's too old. When repairs can no longer keep it together.
