Place a large cup of water & a splash of white vinegar in it and set the time as though you're making a beverage. The moisture will steam the entire microwave and make it easy to wipe out the splatter with a damp kitchen cloth. Wipe thoroughly, and if there's any stubborn spots, repeat. Then dry with a soft cloth. Easy peasy!
Place a cup of water in the microwave. Cook till it boils. Keep the door closed for 5 minutes or so. Open door and wipe up the mess! If really icky, you may need to repeat the process.
Take a wad of wet paper towels and put them in your microwave. Turn the microwave on for 20 seconds only. Use a long spoon to push the wad of paper towels around the inside . If that doesn't work, wet your towels and give it another 20 seconds. Depending on how dirty the inside is, will dictate how many times you have to run your microwave with the wet paper towels to loosen all the crud. But once you get it clean give the order that anything going into the microwave MUST be covered or else you don't use the microwave. If you do this little cleaning hack once a day, your microwave will be sparkling clean! Good luck.
vinegar and Water in a bowl then put in the microwave for 10 minutes everything will easily wipe off.

I have put a bowl w/water inside n turned it on until steaming. Becareful removing hot water then wipe down. If u can buy one, I've been using a microwave cover I found at the grocery store, but another plate would do...just cover all food you microwave and cleanup is at most a very minimum
But a bowl of water with lemon juice in it and set it to boil. Leave inside until steamy. Wipe down.
