My attic, in spite of all the insulation and attic fans, it is far too hot up up there, the access is less than desirable, so mine is essentially useless. Here are some great tips of what to store and what not to store.

I always dreamed of having an attic and storing lovely treasures in it. So much for that!
We keep holiday decorations, unused furniture/kitchenware in ours, and we do have some clothing up there. It's been up there for quite awhile and not harmed. But I do know if it's very humid, fabric can get mildew/mold. It's very hot and humid here, but I guess the attic fans are sufficient.
I lost vintage Christmas candles, they melted together. Before storing anything up in the Attic, put a mobile weather station up there so you can monitor the temperature & humidity for one year. I use one in the chicken coop to know if it gets too cold for them.
Use the attic to store anything that is impervious to heat
All my Christmas decor are kept in the attic, even my inflatable Santa but we put them back in the box after using it, and we have been doing it for several years now.
