mine looks like this I think it got frost bite . I trimed it off.

Looks like winter kill. Try trimming it. giving it some fertilizer and keep it watered. It should come back.
Could some have been spraying a weed or vegetation killer like Roundup... if it was breezy... it could have drifted onto the boxwoods
It could be dog urine too. Or if you were spraying an herbicide anywhere nearby, spray drift could blow onto landscape plants without you realizing. Or if your in a cold area, maybe salt from snow and ice-melting products.
