Remove and soakin the sink in w/up liquid and hot water. then use brush ..
Are you talking about the inserts that go on gas stoves? I remove mine and clean with dish soap and a soft cloth (so as not to scratch). I've had to use one of those 'magic eraser' sponges on some cooked on grime. Rinse, dry and put them back to catch some more spills! :D
Put each one in a gallon size baggie and add 1/2 cup ammonia to each, seal and let them soak overnight outside. The next day, while wearing gloves, remove them from the baggie and rinse. It is not the volume of ammonia that does the trick, it is the fumes. Repeat if necessary.
I put mine in the dishwasher. I'm not sure if you have the same kind, I it works great for mine.
Put in oven on self clean and run wash with warm soapy water. Works wonderful no chemicals or scrubbing
