I've seen wire racks make from a bakers drying racks, with small 'S' hooks to hang individual pieces; you can decorate the edges of the rack with ribbon, put it in a 'picture frame', etc. and hang on your wall, or behind a door to keep it out of sight if you don't want to use it as 'decor'
Those little clear adhesive hooks with the easy to remove adhesive strips..won’t hurt the wall. Will hold jewelry just fine.

I cut a piece of lumber to fit along an empty wall. Then screwed in a series of bureau knobs at 4" intervals. I fit nine knobs on this piece of wood. I hang necklaces from each knob. I used mismatched knobs that were on clearance but you can use any knobs that you want. I painted the piece of lumber the same color as my wall so that the necklaces stand out. I have 4 to 5 thin necklaces on a knob and only 1-2 of the chunk ones.

My Secret Jewelry Door
Depends on the amount of necklaces but I take paper clips, open them up so I have a square end to put over the top of my dresser mirror. The bottom of the clip is just right to hang each necklace on. The only problem I can see is if you don't have enough space or have magnetic fasteners. Hope this helps.
I bought a decorative bulletin board from Hobby Lobby and hung it in my bathroom. I use push pins to hold all of the jewelry that I wear regularly. Works and looks great.
