How about painting the wall a contrasting color to soften it up?
You can add a simple cornice board type of fabric valance in a pretty pattern or color. In fact, the color in this link would look smashing with brown. There are several patterns, styles and prices.

i think hanging sheers or curtains would dress it up and help it look less like an office.
Use spray glue and glue light weight material in your colors to the blinds. Only use as much material as will be seen when the shade is pulled down to cover the window.
I think Smb228 and Jean have nailed it! Hang sheers very high near the ceiling and make sure they reach the floor, that will make your window look larger. Adding light weight fabric or even printed paper to the shade will add a pop of color, you could even stencil a pattern on the shade in a light color. Good Luck!
Put up a valance to cover up the roller...pick a fabric that coordinates your bedding.
Use fabric that coordinates nicely with your bedding to make a cornice to hide the top of the roller shade. Hang it high to make the windows look larger. Hot glue a tasseled trim to the bottom of the shade to dress it up.
Use these as the under layer. Top them with sheers and then drapes or just drapes. Windows look more "dressed" with at least 2 types/layers of window treatments.
Stencil them!
Adding fabric as suggested above helps; also think about using a trim at the bottom and about 6 to 10 inches above the bottom, adding a tassel, and/or adding extra fabric that is scalloped below the stiffener stick. I heard (but have not seen or experienced) of someone who used the plastic that comes with the roller to measure and cut completely different stuff--that is, she took off the plastic, and used two layers of fabric fused together to replace it. If you try this, make sure that if you use a patterned fabric on the front, you have a plain color on the back. Use Fray-Check on ANY fabric you decide to use.
Yes stencil them! Perhaps a lace design! Good Luck 🍀!
These would look so fantastic if you stencil and a contrasting color. Or even if you did some gold overspray with spray paint that would be so lovely.
