Well I do not have rainbarrels where I live as it hardly ever rains. 🌞 My friends up in Crescent City, and others across the country use "cleaning vinegar" which is typically 6% acidity and readily available almost everywhere.

My question as I watched these grandparents was always, "Why are you sweeping your yards, and why is there no grass around your house?" We have grass around ours.

Vinegar is my go to.
You could probably do Wet and Forget, then a lot of rinsing. Though supposedly it’s ok if it drips on vegable plants.
