if a small fan doesn't clear out the moisture, get a larger fan. you can put it on a timer. You might also buy a moisture meter to check the progress. In extreme conditions a dehumidifier and mold removal experts are your only way. Check your roof vents to see if they leak, also.
Do not be embarrassed, it happens! Use vinegar to clean up the mold on the ceiling. Vinegar kills mold spores, bleach does not. You need to install an exhaust fan or better fans and a portable fan will work until you can get them installed. Leave the door open after showering with a fan on until the room is dry. I would also repaint using a good primer like Kilz or Zinsser.
Call a contractor for estimates for the fans and let him or her that you are also planning on a new roof.

Repaint room with Good prime first then oil based enamel. If existing fan does not vent to outside request contractor install better fan and outside vent. Good luck
