Gently! Fill your sink with lukewarm water and add either Woolite or baby shampoo (my favorite)....let soak. Rub both sides together gently. Rinse well. Roll up in a terry cloth towel (do not wring). Hang to dry.

soak in sink with tide, then lay flat or hang out on the line to dry
Dab with some dawn dishwafter and let it air dry
