Call one of the paint companies like Sherwin Williams or Pittsburgh paints. They can tell you exactly what you need, will probably send you a chart upon request. Calling will save you time. They are pretty good to help. This way you talk with someone who deals with paint everyday.

Oil paints have long been used in cold climates. It holds up reasonably well to the abuse. My great-grand-mother had her porch painted every three years. Every time I smell oil paint in the summer it reminds me of the time I spent there. Good luck.
