How do i prevent negative vibes from a mirror facing the front door?

My big mirror was hung on the sala wall facing the front door. Everybody says it is bad fengshui. It helps brighten the small living room, but we would like good luck, not bad vibes.

You can decide if the mirror is "good fengshui" or bad, with all due respect to those who think there are hard and fast rules about these things
....If the mirror brightens the small living room and it pleases you, that sounds like a good thing to me 
....What matters most, I think, is how you feel about it. Just sayin'... 
If you don't like the mirror there, take it down.
This mirror has hung beside our front door since 1971. But of course it is not facing the door, although reflects the door. No bad luck, in fact this house has been remarkably sturdy, secure and as yet has not presented any major or threatening situations. We even use the original 1905 furnace!
