I've tried bleach and that did not work. Is there a professional cleaner that would work?

  • Vinegar should work. Wipe down the pieces with a cloth doused in vinegar. Then wash with Dawn dish soap and you should be good to go.

I have a Rubbermaid love seat that my daughter found on the side of the road. I used a cheap orange oxi cleaner that I found at Home Depot and a Mr. Clean Magic eraser. It is now white and doesn't look like it should go in the trash like it did when she brought it home. It may work for you. The orange oxi cleaner is really great, it is clear and is in a quart spray bottle. I even cleaned up the mildew covered vinyl in the used boat we bought real cheap to fix up. The vinyl looks new now, it didn't change the color of it al all, just took all the dirt and mildew off.

I have had luck with liquid dishwashing detergent and lots of scrubbing with a non-abrasive soft brush.

Clean well and spray with Rust-Oleum's Painter's Touch. I have been using this on my plastic outdoor furniture for years and the paint lasts longer than the original finish. Lots of color choices, too.
