The walls could be painted or rerouted another color green is nice clean and scrub them accent the bathroom with another color try to use them

My daughter painted hers with a paint made for tile, then put a sealer on it. Looked like they were made that way!
Did you ever have the opportunity to watch Christopher Lowell's shows? He is a genius. If you can't expand, build up. If you can't change tiles, complement them with a softer shade then add pops of color with your decor such as wall art, etc. and linens. Have fun.

I would paint the surrounding walls white and accent the room with a big white or light wood framed mirror and use soft green towels and artwork to compliment the tiles. Green is very in right now.
