marigolds
citrus scented geraniums in with the marigolds. Some are labeled mosquito plant. un like marigolds, you can bring in the geranium as a house plant, take cuttings and grow more plants.
Now, there are other interventions to use to keep mosquitoes at bay. Skeeters breed in water, even a teaspoon full is fair game for breeding. Remove any water collecting items, or dump them out after every rain. If you have rain barrels, the screens need to be skeeter proof. If you have water standing in your yard, and it’s not able to drain, mosquito bits, a citronella based granular product is available. If you can’t screen the water barrel, mosquito dunks..shaped like a doughnut can be used, they float on top of the water realesing citronella oil. They will not harm fish if you have a pond or fountain in your yard.
Just don't go with mint. People say it works, well even if I did, which it doesnt, it's invasive.
