Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth!! Ring the hills thickly. As the ants walk through the DE, they will bring it into the nest and kill the queen.
Simple...pour any kind of dishwashing liquid or cheap liquid Dollar Tree washing powder over the hills early morning or evening when they are hungry !! Works like a charm.
Look at the hill. Measure with your eyes, about 1 foot away in a circle around the perimeter of the hill. Spray a wide circle around the hill with Roach Spray. Immediately sprinkle the whole hill with dry, uncooked rice & let it sit & walk away. The ants will eat the rice, take it to their queen & die. The spray around the perimeter is to get the stragglers that don't eat the rice & wanna move off & try to build another one. After a rain, repeat.
Any farm supply store. Places like garden departments of big box stores are beginning to carr it also. Call them first to make sure they do carry it. Not expensive.
Pour boiling water on it.
