Rent a floor scrubber/buffer from your local hardware store or utility rental center. You'll first use the machine, with rotating bristles to scrub/ clean with cleaning solution they should provide/recommend, then you'll polish with soft buffing wheel (hopefully same machine w/ interchangeable heads) with a floor wax products. Thanks for your answer. It is the hallway leading from the garage.
looks like Spanish Slate? I would think it has already been sealed. a damp mop would be all it should need.........
A bit of water and a mop should probably be the most that floor needs to get clean
Thank you to everyone for weighing in! I did try water and a mop first, then i tried Shaklee Basic H and water with a soft bristle brush. Lots of dirt came up and some of the grout cleaned up to a really light color. I actually like the dark colored grout but i think it’s dirt! So I think I’ll look into the equipment rental idea for a good deep clean and buff. There are areas where it looks like a previous seal may have worn off with traffic so i might need to reseal it. will certainly post pics when I get it figured out!!!!
I had stone in a former home and used boiled linseed oil to clean and shine it.
thank you! Do you actually boil the oil or do you buy boiled oil? Do you know where to buy it?
