Looks like spearmint but I'm not sure. Does it smell good? Rub the leaves and take a quick sniff! Spearmint is cat-nip! My cat loved it! I would place it on the floor, she would rub it, roll in it, and even eat it!
Google says "nepeta" or Cat mint.
The best way to know if the plant is in the mint family is to see if the stem is square.
looks like it belong to the st. joseph leave family
Looks to be a coleus
dead nettle. Pretty little; flower nothing. very prolific do not discard plants i compost - seeds winter over ='s dozens!
Looks like green coleus
Can't quite tell, could be a form of mint or nettle, either way, they are very invasive and I don't think you want them taking over your garden, and they will. Dig deep, they both have long tap roots. Burn or immediately put in trash. If it is mint, you could put it in a pot and it shouldn't spread. You will be able to tell if it is mint by the smell, very fragrant when the leaves are rubbed there are many forms from chocolate to lemon to pineapple and many more. Just make sure you pot them or in the soil in a spot where you don't care if the spread.
Looks like a weed
Thanks everyone. I'll check the smell!
Coleus
I would say stinging nettle or common nettle, if you touch the stem and it feels like lots of sharp pin prick in you finger that is probably what it is. Mint smells like mint.
No mint smell. It's also bigger than any mint I've ever seen (leaf wise). The stem is fuzzy.
not in the mint family then. Kind of looks like nettle.
How about lantana. It produces tiny flowers in a cluster that makes a larger flower. Good luck
