I vote for the second from the left. Subtle, but won’t show leaf stain. The reddish is, to me, a little electric for your house.
Please stain the lattice under porch too. Please. You dont need to bring attention to the base. You want all the attention on your porch Please.
When you’re all done, including decorating, consider painting the door itself a color that works with everything else you’ve done. My daughter experimented by taping kids colored craft paper to the door. Or go to Benjamin Moore’s virtual painting site. Now thats fun.
Awesome ideas! I never thought about staining the lattice 🤔. We are actually getting new windows and doors soon, which will be white at first of course, but a good idea on painting the door! I agree the cherry is a bit too much ad well! I was leaning towards the 2nd also, but my husband thinks it's "too dark"🤷
The stain option colors are endless. I myself would prefer a color that would highlight the blue siding such as a colonial blue floor with the white railings and lattice. I wouldn't go too deep a blue as footprints would dry white on it and take away from its beauty. The door could be painted the deeper blue to match. Or go a burgundy floor and door which would also be lovely.
I would go with a medium to dark grey on the deck boards and paint the ceiling haint blue. Do a deep color on the door for some contrast. Use the door color in some pillows or cushions on your porch furniture.
Moonlight
moonlight or a darker brown will really make the light blue and white pop
Moonlit will look amazing!!!
a classic powerful solid Colour.
Enjoy your porch. 🙂
Unless you're extremely patriotic, the Cherry is a no-go. Personally, I would go with something deeper than the Moonlit - like mahogany. But that's just me. The deeper the color, the larger the floor will seem and the pale of the house color will pop. Also, if you plan to use planters, flowers and pots will look better on a darker base floor.
I would choose a gray or soldier bluegray deck.
My suggestion would be a grey! light or dark would complement the blue of your house and make the deck pop. I don't think any of the browns would look good. Just my opinion.
Moonlit would make the other colors pop.
I would say the 2nd from left. Light house, dark patio or porch.
Why stain? Why not paint? We always paint the decking on our porches.
go get some samples of grays- you will see how that is the direction to go
Have you considered a whitewash?
Choose a medium dark stain that has no red in it.... the put a gray-wash over it....
BUT... why does it have to be a stain.... paint a wash on the porch in stripes.. 1 board per color stripe... or 2 boards per color stripe.... or any pattern you like..... choose shades of gray, black, navy, white, cream or tan... they would look like fun arrows pointing toward your door... use several coats of exterior clear sealer... to help with longevity.
I think you should go with the weathered wood in this brand or something similar http://www.sansin.com/colors/
Medium to dark grey with a bluish cast - it would be lovely....
Why not paint them white? With porch paint? You could even paint a faux rug .
I vote for grey
I would go with a soft gray weathered stain on the boards of the deck and definitely paint the lattice beneath the deck in a nice bright white like your posts above the deck floor to ceiling....your front door needs a soft color as well, not to bright or garish...get some color samples and tape them to the door to see how they all look in different light during the day...oh and I would paint the front door last, after all your deck and posts and lattice are done so you can choose a complementary shade to bring it all together...good luck!!
I vote for Moonlit, of the choices supplied, but think the suggestion of gray is probably even better. Good luck!
