Donna on May 17, 2014I have always liked a creamy yellow-bright and clean without being too bold. And accent choices are endless-blues, greens-pick your favorite and go to it!Helpful Reply

Delia on May 17, 2014Hi Darlene. It's best for you to match your paint color to an accessory or accessories you plan on using in the space. This way you won't struggle to get a complete match when you accessorize. For example, a touch of yellow from an art piece, table runner, or cushion. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply

Kiff Harvey on May 17, 2014I love Sundial by Benjamin Moore. It is a creamy gold tone I actually took a piece of fabric and asked them to match the background that I thought was cream but when it went on the walls I was surprised that it is yellow I love it My builder painted every room in the house that colour I only got one colour choice. We have lived in the house 10 years and I have repainted most of the rooms THE SAME COLOUR It goes with blue in my bathroom , olive in the kitchen , willow green in the bedroom Pink blue and Mauve in the living room, Good Luck PS if the chip looks yellow it is too yellowHelpful Reply

Amy Ogden-Paparone on May 18, 2014Darlene, if there is anything I've learned in all my years, is that you should always decorate, paint, design your house with things you truly love. Don't always go with what's in and what's not in. Interior design fads come and go so quickly, but if you decorate with things you love, you'll be so much happier! Pick a color yellow that makes you smile when you see it and if there are a few of them, get them in tester colors and paint them in different areas for a few days until you find the exact one you want. :) Remember, it's you and you that have to live in the house, not outsiders.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on May 18, 2014Yellow is one of the 3 base colors....so it is always in style! Just be careful not to get it too bright or too bold. Yellow can turn garish in a heartbeat! My house on the outside is Sherwin Williams' "Cottage Cream" but it comes out a soft yellow...I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT...I have had this color for 20 years with white trim...and will NEVER CHANGE IT! They can mix it for interior paint. (I wanted the birdhouse garish so I picked a over the top yellow paint)Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on May 18, 2014Yellow can be tricky. I chose the softest of golds for a living area walls. The painter, a pro, apparently got a colour match?, but chose a glossy finish?. Turned out garish - blaring yellow with a greenish undertone. About as far away from what I chose as you can get. Repainted a taupe-grey and ended up paying again. Didn't want to take the chance of another disaster. Am still disappointed that the soft gold didn't work.Helpful Reply
