You can add bleach and do a long hot wash. Another method is vinegar and bicarb cleans out all the soap scum build up. Also good to leave the door slightly open to dry out after use.
I have a he top loader. I use bleach tablets once a month on the tub clean cycle. The smell is pretty strong so beware of that.
I would wash it out with baking soda. It always got rid of musty smelling clothes.
Run an empty cycle with a cup of white vinegar in the basin.
I would run a cycle without any clothes in it but a generous cup of bleach and see if that helps. I also leave the door open as much as possible and make sure I towel off the rubber seal and any areas where water may collect.
