Try planting them in a new pot with new dirt, there maybe something living in your existing soil that is a host to the bugs that are destroying your squash.
That would be my first step to solving this. Next would be to get an insecticide like Seven and lightly dust.

You probably have squash bugs. They tap into the stems and suck the life out of the plant. You need to kill the squash bugs. Keeping the plants inside is not necessary. JUst rotate all crops yearly in your garden.
