What is the best way to remove a semi-opaque stain on deck?

The stain is chipping & peeling. Our deck is very large.

i stained my deck thinking it would be nice, but SHE said take it off! what a pain! ! I used an electric power washer. these machines do not have the oomph that a gas engine one has, but does have enough to cut thru the stain. it worked and I am out of the dog house for that one...
