Consider the weight of the concrete before even thinking about adding it to your mobile home.... it could wreck it permanently. Just go try to pick up a bag of real concrete, and then imagine several bags of it pulling down on your home. If you want a stone looking wall, why not fit sheets of plywood underneath to make a skirting, and then faux paint it, this will still give you access panels for servicing important MEPs.
Hi Brenda, I saw this (maybe on Hometalk) recently and wonder if it might work well for your idea of redoing your underpinning. Though it is styrofoam it could possibly be sealed so as not to disintegrate too quickly and would be very light weight if attached to the uprights you currently have and could be removed if needed to access underneath your mobile home.

I'm hearing you guys, and I was wondering about the weight, but perhaps a wooden structure behind the panels to hold the weight but attached to the mobile home with screws just to stabilize the panels, or after hearing Janice's suggestion, I wonder about diy foamed concrete done in small batches to make the panels, perhaps that would lessen the weight quite a bit. I don't think that just Styrofoam would be practical even if it were sealed as I think it would get destroyed very quickly by neighborhood dogs and cats and husbands weed wacker! LOL Thanks for the input, and it did get me thinking about foamed concrete as a possibility!
I'd love any other suggestions for redoing the existing underpinning panels on the cheap so they don't look so wrecked and ugly. I know with the crafty minds here on hometalk, someone will help me come up with a practical and pretty idea that can be done diy on the cheap! Thanks guys!
