How can I update an old shower?

We have an ugly 50 year old tile shower in our master bathroom.
We would like to remove the tile and install a one piece shower that can be accessed with a walker if necessary, so a low entrance.

Hello Corky, I believe that for THIS particular project a professional might be your best bet because you are in need of specific design with handicap specifications. You do NOT want to take the chance of mistakes with this. In the long run I am sure you would save money and be more satisfied by taking the professional route. Thank you for coming to Hometalk. :)

Visit plumbing websites or stores, and see what's available in the size for your shower first. Then find a plumber or contractor to do the work. Some specialize in work for disabled-accessible bathrooms.
