Depending on what it is. asphalt you can purchase pails of sealer and put it on with a long handled roller. Follow the instructions carefully as the driveway should be cleaned first and free from oil spots, etc. Concrete can be resurfaced but may require a professional to do it.
Patch comes in buckets and can be pounded into the holes. after this, then use sealer for a fresh look.
You can buy plastic bottles of asphalt driveway repair which has a nozzle on the end and easy to apply. Shake it well before using. You can put it on, on a warm day so that it runs into the base of the hole. You may have to add more if settles down so give it time to do so, at least an hour or two. Use a trowel to smooth over the top of the surface. Once everything is smooth then use the driveway sealer. You can clean your trowel off with a paint solvent. You will be happy with the results. Do not apply the sealer on a hot sunny day or it will dry too fast.
