Hi Brian! Yes, I have my own website... and I'm not a 'techy' person. I started with Wordpress.com and then moved up to Wordpress.org. The difference is Wordpress.com is great for just a quick website, but not if you want a lot of custom control on it and to run your own selection of plugins and ads etc. My site, https://SimpleDecoratingTips.com is a part time business in a way. I do have advertising on it and thus needed to go with the wordpress.org. You can use ready made theme, but you need to find suitable one.
