My personal preference has always been for natural bristles regardless of project. But I certainly will not pass on a deal on other types.
It really depends on what you want to stencil.... I like the round foam applicators found in the craft stores stenciling dept.... I keep them in a snack baggie until I am done with the project... and I keep them covered when in use so they don't crust over... foil works for that.
This is an excellent brush: https://www.amazon.com/BRIETIS-Chalk-Paint-Wax-Brush/dp/B076J8D3Z6/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1529350965&sr=8-20&keywords=stencil+brushes
I checked out both sites and am closer to knowing what I am doing. Information leads me to believe it will depend upon what surface I am painting. Thanks for the help.
