I don't know what you're working with when it comes to a possible window, cabinets, etc; but this is what I feel like you are talking about. If it is, you'd need a section of 1x6, some dowel rods and wood glue (and, of course, whatever finish you want on there). Fingers crossed you have a router to make this one! You would need it for the edges to look the same. It could look rustic without using a router though!
