I bought these two great chairs and have googled how to paint the material but the sites assume the reader knows the type of paint to use and how to pre the chairs. The other thing I am not sure about is what color to paint them. The walls are beige, my love seat is cream but I would like the chairs to pop. Any suggestions would be appreciate. Olga

You can use chalk paint on upholstery, it works great!

Make sure before you use the chalk paint that you use a wire brish so you it stays attached to the material and I personally used a high pressure gurney but you would have to let it dry for a longer period and do it in summer for more achievable results. But yes chalk paint is the go.

Paint the chairs the same color as your favorite "thing" in the room. Maybe it's a bowl you brought back from a vacation or an accent rug, whatever. If your favorite thing just happens to be natural wood colored or some other neutral color, try robin's egg blue to contrast the neutrals or burnt orange to compliment the neutrals. If you really feel daring, a limey green.

Jeannie, robin‘s egg blue sounds awesome since blue is my favorite colo. Will post when I paint them. Will post when I paint them.
