How to fix or clean this old yucky chalk and grout?
I tried to clean this grout and chalk that's old and yucky. Nothing works. Should I peel chalk off and put new chalk on? And paint on grout?
I wouldn't take a chance on getting those floors wet, it will ruin them. Take the rugs outside if you have a paved driveway and do them there. They will dry faster outside anyway!

That’s how I cleaned them on the outside patio. Since you live in an apartment, have any family or close friend who’d let you use their patio? I’d ask them. All they can do is say no. Good luck!
I was hoping you would get an answer that was a lot easier than toting that big rug around. I too have laminate floors and had to take my rug up cause I couldn't clean it with steam.
I am 69, hands and knees are out of the question. I guess it stays in the closet till all my ferrets pass away....lol...
