Peace lily is turning brown at the ends.

A few questions...Are there drainage holes in the pot, how old is the plant, how often do you water?Generally peace lilies do not like to completely dry outdoor be to wet,consistant watering with tepid water is the key for not getting brown tips.Always test the soil prior to watering,if it feels dry water, if still damp do not water.

It may be getting too much water or too much salt in the water.

I always let my plant wilt and then water well. Ends up being less than once a week, so maybe yours is getting too much h2o.

Sometimes it is a humidity thing... and like spider plants.... mine always have brown tips.... and sometimes it is just because it got bruised on the tips when someone walks or brushes by it.... my cat used to like to comb his whiskers on mine...then it got stiff and brown... so it was a better place to comb whiskers.... lol

How do you water it? Do you soak it? Potted plants need soaking, not just a cup of water once a week. If you see air bubbles when soaking, it means there are air pockets in the soil. Tamp down the soil. Another thing maybe needed is repotting up. How long has it been in that pot?

Sounds like with all the differing answers, you will just have to try different things over a period of time until you find one your plant likes.

Watering once a week is fine - it loos like you might be giving it too much water at once. Cut back on the amount.

My wife has worked with flowers for 30 years she says that you are over watering it. She says to only water when soil is dry or plant is wilting then water lightly.
