The way I would suggest is place a chicken wire fence around your garden.
How frustrating. Most pets need to be contained on the homeowners property or controlled on a leash.
Could you consider contacting the homeowners association —if there is one?
Let your neighbors know that you aren't happy with their dinner is eating or pulling out your flowers. The chickens can be free range on their property, they don't have to be on yours. And you shouldn't have to put up ugly chicken wire to protect the garden. It kind of takes away from the beauty of the garden. You could put a fence around your property (with that ugly chicken wire on their side.
Or you could try squirting them with a hose every time they're in your flowers. I don't know if those ultra sound things work for any kind of animal, but it might be worth a try.
You could put up a chicken fence to keep them out.
Chicken wire is inexpensive
Thank you all but have already contacted them and it has done no good. Happens when at work so can't squirt water. Just now, the chickens ran across my front yard in daylight and a coyote was after them. I have a small dog and that endangers him, too.
Tell your neighbor that he/she needs to corral the critters or you are going to have free range for dinner.
Adopt a pet fox.
Maybe you need a fence between yours and your neighbors property. Chickens should not be crossing….the property line
I too have a neighbor with chickens. He said his kids are responsible for keeping them in their pens. I am really tired of my mulch beds being destroyed. The last time I saw this neighbor he said just come over and let us know. NO!!, that is putting the burden back on me and I will not put up chicken wire at my cost and labor. Time to complain to the boro.
