Any ideas on how to repurpose/reuse old glass shower doors?
We've taken out old glass shower doors that had terrible hard water deposit. Any suggestions on how to repurpose or reuse them would be appreciated.
Plexiglass glass, wood or even cardboard duct taped over the opening. I lost a bunch of big windows in an earthquake, we had to use whatever was available since it was January, so sheets of plywood is what we had to use - we screwed into the studs from the exterior. Not the best, but you do what you gotta do. Took a lot of exterior repair, but there was no other option.
If you don't need to worry about burglars, foam core board glued or tacked in place?
A piece of plywood cut to fit will work until it can be replaced.
Drill holes in a sheet of plexiglass so you can screw it on.
We had a huge window above our door in a center hall colonial that shattered. We used clear contact paper over the glass until a new glass was ordered. For a door, I would carefully cover inside and outside of the glass for extra strength. Good luck!
