How to remove caked on grease from outside of frying pan?

Have had my heavy duty bob stick frying pan for years but can't get off tge burnt on grease from it's outside surface - any ideas

  • Try soaking it in vinegar and baking soda.

      Yes! Make a paste of it and put a thick layer on it and let it stay on overnight. Next day scrub it off and if some still there do it again. Eventually you'll get it off!

    be patient work with vinegar, soak it, work on it, soak it again, even over nite. A single edge razor in a tool. It has to be done carefully and slowly

    There's a couple videos on u tube on how to recondition a cast iron skillets. Not sure if your situation is of the same material. If it's stainless you can probably use oven cleaner, if aluminum stay away from oven cleaner. If you have a large enough pot you can boil it. Vinegar, baking soda and elbow grease also work. Take your time.
