My two trees have a rust fungus when removed- can I replant?
Two Chokeberry trees have a rust fungus. When removed can I replant in the same location. Do I have to treat the soil before replanting. These trees have been here about 30 yrs.

I definitely would treat the soil before planting any thing else. How did they get it? how long did it last before taking them out? like you said, these have been there for 30 years, so it might be best to treat it first for the next 30 years.
