Yes... is an invasive plant and have read that snakes like to hang out in it so recommend getting rid of it. Another Hometalker already tackled this with good results

For the trees.. begin by cutting the vines low on the trunk.. the growth above the cut will die. Good video and discussion regarding that with a little entertainment at the end.

Natural Ways to Kill Poison Ivy Without Using Chemicals
I had that around and up a tree in our yard. I sprayed it all with Round Up and it killed it all.I was able to peel the dead vines off the tree. Theonly problem you may have is being able to plant grass after. You might have to wait until next season. Check the label. You could also try vinegar and salt water, but it might take a while for it to die.
