I prefer a porcelain tile on my bathroom floors. Tile comes in so many looks. You can even have it look like wood flooring if that's what you want. Which I would not suggest (wood flooring that is) in a bathroom. For the threshold into the bathroom, I like to use the same granite as is on the counter. I have also used granite for shower thresholds, shower seats and shelves in my bathrooms. Also when installing a bathroom floor, only the tub (if you're going to have one) should be in before the flooring. Vanity and toilet sit on top of the floor.
