How to clean ceiling fan without standing on bed.
We got a new mattress recently, made with memory foam. The memory foam is a huge difference from a regular box spring and mattress. It feels like quick sand. So, my problem is: how do I clean the ceiling fan above our bed. I really don't want to stand on the bed like I used to.

We bought a Bissell adjustable duster from Bissell.com which telescopes and the duster portion adjusts to a 90 degree angle. The duster head is microfiber and is washable and dryable. We use it not only for ceiling fans, but to dust ledges and transom ledges, even the tops of the cabinets. We love it. No more ladders for us.
if you can move the bed, move it so you don't break your neck.
Now that is a true dilemma! How high are your ceilings? Do you have a 2 step, step stool with handrail? Would that be tall enough for you to reach over the bed? Can your bed slide out of the way?
Try putting a piece of plywood not very big on the bed and see if that adds a little stability to it.
Get a piece of plywood, put a sheet on your bed, put the plywood on it and you should have a stable surface to stand on without sinking, that is what I would do. You can keep the smaller piece of plywood under your bed, against the wall of a closet, anywhere, even under a dresser if it fits. I hope this helps, Alj!
Put a sock on the end of a broom handle. .take a rubber band wrap around sock. .I use to do that then I bought a swifter duster with various extensions handle. . It works great. .Good luck. .
