Finishing barnwood question

I want to build birdhouses (and other projects) out of used fence pickets. The pickets are nicely weathered. There will be some raw sawed edges where I cut the boards. How do I get the raw edges to match the rest of the weathered boards.

Hi there, if you're looking to make the raw edges as alike to the color of the barnwood you have a few options now when it comes to stain colors. You may be able to also combine a paint and stain combo to get that perfect gray.
