I have a deck that needs a roof.
My deck is 10 by 13 and I would love to have a roof put on it. But we are on a tight budget. Could you tell me an easy and cheap way to do this?

this is a fairly large space. If budget is a concern, maybe a pergola top that you could later add plexiglass panels to. If your aim is shade protection, vines could help, if weather protection needed you will need a solid something.
Instructables....tarp, pvc pipe and fittings for poles.
those tent like gazebos and carport covers are around $100. I took out a couple poles to make the carport one smaller to fit my patio. If you don't want to stake the poles to the ground, you will need to be creative in how to attach poles to deck. You could set the poles with cement in big planter pots, then drape the tarp from the poles.
Hi She,
I have the same problem, regret not making my screen porch larger. The sun is much too intense and hot on my exposed deck.
My neighbor put up the sail -carabiner shades, they are very effective and attactive, withstood stormy weather, but Im nort sure about winter and snow, if they will be removed or not. He purhased his sail from Amazon -it was quite economical.
A pergola would be more substantial and structural but not as budget friendly.I believe I price them at about $1000 at Costco.
