I'm afraid the steam from bathroom use will loosen the glue and it won't stick
I covered my bathroom counters with contact paper when I rented this apt almost 4 yrs ago &it still looks good. One thing I did was use a glue stick along the edge of the paper on the underside of the counter just to keep any steam from curling the edges & lifting the paper. Works great & can be removed with no damage. Good luck.

Years ago I used a vinyl contact paper over a laundry room shelf. It seemed to work great, but came loose where it was folded over the front and attached to the bottom of the board. As the area wasn't visible I used duct tape to hold that part in place. I used a different vinyl contact paper in a pantry to make the shelves easier to clean. This paper lasted 30 years. I cannot remember the brands I used. My point is to buy a good brand and try it. Susie has had great results. My results were mixed, but even the less effective product was usable and durable.
