I would use a contrasting color that goes well with the other colors in the room. Best wishes and happy thoughts.

a fun idea i have seen is to choose one color, let's say blue...then paint the top drawer the blue...add a little white and paint next drawer...then a bit more white and paint next...and so on and so on, it creates a beautiful "ombre" that fades and is one of a kind! Also makes for a great statement piece in a room without going overboard because it's monochromatic.
