Refinish a bathtub?
We have a pink bath tube and was wondering if there is a way to refinish it and paint it white?

There are products in your local home improvement store, but they take time and smell horrible. Make sure you have ventilation.
You can purchase a tub cover and go over the tub. They are available at Lowe's, Home Depot and Amazon... you can also have someone do it for you - DO NOT USE REBATH!
Hello Brian, You can have it reglazed any color you like. Call Home Depot, and ask if they do it or you might need a plumber. You can find a plumber, or whatever you need at HomeAdvisor.
Do not do this yourself. Yes, there are DIY products at stores, but I recommend the tub be done professionally. I had a pink tub, and pink tiles all around the bathroom walks, 4.5 ft high.... it cost about $1,500. To get all 4 walls, the large pink tub, and a new click lock vinyl floor installed over the tiny pink tile floor ... Look up tub relaxing or tub resurfacing, check out yelp reviews, etc. A tub alone would cost only $200-400, depending on where you live. I rec'd this due to the amount of wear and tear a tub gets, and the prep they do involves highly caustic material to 'etch' the tub prior to many coats of the finish product. They use fans and exhaust to keep fumes out if house, and the finish can be matte or semi-gloss. As you can see, I had a pink tub, pink tile walls, and pink floor. This is a 1968 house, I have tenants living there, and the company will come back for touch ups as needed (if needed).
Hope this helps.
