Can you give me some ideas to decorate my bedroom?

Irene, in a small room, you have to keep it simple and uncluttered. A light color paint makes a room look larger. It does not have to be white, but an almost white color.

By using only a bed frame, you can eliminate a bulky headboard and foot board. Then put a simple, but pretty wallpaper on the wall at the head of your bed. Make it an open simple pattern with very little color.

Think 'UP"...this means that in corners there is usually room for selves off the floor...if you stop and think about it, we do not use the corners of our rooms!!!

There are also corner tables! These would make excellent bedside tables. if you are handy, they can be made out of almost anything. You can make them with more shelves and even put a back on them to keep things from falling off.

And you can put storage in bins around the room above the molding for windows and doors. Even plastic milk crates and wooden crates from the hobby store are being used for storage.

Instead of paint or headboard attach fabric to wall behind your bed. you could make it appear to be window with curtains or pleat the fabric & attach top & bottom. Use old closet door, pad it, cover with fabric...instant headboard.

To create the look of a larger room, paint the ceiling in semi-gloss bright white wall paint to reflect natural light, paint the walls a calming neutral color in a satin finish, hang ceiling to floor white sheers and keep linens light. Minimize furniture. Best of luck.

I also use torchiere lamps instead of bedside lamps or hang a pretty lamp/chandelier in corner. Put bed up on bed lifters & use underbed for storage. decorate a cork board, hang on wall & stagger pushpins to hang earrings/ necklaces.
